Arrive at Cape Town International Airport. We depart on a City Orientation tour that will pass the colorful and historic houses of the Bo-kaap (Malay Quarter), Adderley Street with statues of Jan van Riebeeck and Bartholomeu Diaz, the Castle of Good Hope and the Dutch Reformed Church. No visit to Cape Town is complete without a trip up Table Mountain, the city’s most celebrated landmark. Table Mountain gets her name due to the flat top of the mountain, which viewed from the city, is surrounded by Devil’s Peak on the left, Lion’s Head on the right and Signal Hill in the foreground. Depart the Hotel on one of South Africa’s most scenic routes to Cape Point, the most south-westerly tip of Africa. Drive through the suburbs of Green Point and Sea Point to Camps Bay. Continue towards Hout Bay, a small fishing village. From Hout Bay, continue via the scenic Chapman’s Peak drive (providing the road is open) passing through the residential suburb of Scarborough en-route to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. A funicular railway takes you to the top of the point, from where you can enjoy the breathtaking views. Enjoy a light lunch en-route. In the afternoon, pay a visit to the African penguin colony at Boulders Beach, before travelling through the naval base of Simon’s town to Fish Hoek. From here, continue to the colorful fishing harbor of Kalk Bay, Boyes Drive, Muizenberg & False Bay. Make your way back to the quayside, passing the University of Cape Town, Rhodes Memorial, Mostert’s Mill and the famous Groote Schuur Hospital en-route. Evening at leisure. Overnight 4* Hotel. We leave Cape Town this morning towards the famous Cape Winelands. Our first stop is at Meerlust Estate, famous for their world-class wines, for a tasting of 6 of their finest wines. Second stop is at the famous sparkling wine producers, JC Le Roux. Enjoy an exciting tasting of 5 Sparkling Wines paired with Nougat and Turkish Delight! Explore the wonderful and fascinating world of wine as seen and enjoyed by South African golfer Ernie Els – enjoy lunch & a tasting. Last wine stop will be at Muratie Wine Estate, tucked into exquisite Knorhoek Valley north of Stellenbosch. End the day on a sweet note – visit the Huguenot Fine Chocolates. After breakfast check out & take a scenic drive to the coastal village of Still Bay. We will stop at a local independent distillery for a tour & tasting of their range of diverse spirits. Our next stop is at the Aloe Ferox Factory where you can purchase aloe ferox products for health & beauty. We travel onwards to a 4* Game Reserve. After breakfast check out & proceed towards the famous harbour town of Mossel Bay. Visit the Bartolomeu Dias museum, Old Post Tree & enjoy some souvenir shopping. We will travel onward to Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich capital of the World, with a stop at the Eight Bells Mountain Inn for a delicious lunch. Arrive in Oudtshoorn & commence on an Ostrich tour. After breakfast we head to the Cango Caves, one of the natural wonders of the world. The Cango Caves lie in the Swartberg Mountain Range in a limestone belt. The Cango Caves is a wonderland of stalactites, stalagmites and helictites (limestone formations that grow in unusual directions). After a tour of this wonderland, we travel through the breathtaking Swartberg Pass. Stop for a traditional South African lunch. After breakfast we board a ferry to the world-famous Heads. This experience includes a return ferry trip, nature drive and guided walk, ending with a sumptuous buffet lunch at the Forest Restaurant. After lunch we once again board the ferry and return to the mainland for leisure time to explore the quaint town with its many art and craft shops, visiting the view sites at Belvidere Estate and the Holy Trinity Church before returning to our Hotel. After breakfast we check out and depart to George Airport. En-route we will stop at Milkwood Village to enjoy a leisurely stroll through the craft markets, or at the Timberlake Organic Village for some locally produced cooking & crafts. We travel through George for a short orientation tour before departing to George Airport where we bid each other farewell.
